my body's hot but i feel so cold
though i feel cold i keep pespiring
ive bathed twiced for today now and i feel like bathing again
my body aches all over especially the area around my right hip it's so pain there i can't even walk sometimes
i hope to get better soon im going to ang mo kio sec tomorrow for another music exchange and this time, we'll be facing much much better bands

band syf camp
band camp was awesome
the bestest best music camp ever i swear
came at about 5.30 pm on monday after AEM and joined in with the JVCB ( Jurongville Concert Band ), DSB ( Deyi Symphonic Band ) and BLCB ( Boon Lay Concert Band) PERCUSSIONISTS at the concourse .
i came just in time to play a percussion ensemble with them . wooh, was it nice !
the music exchange we had with DSB and BLCB at boon lay the next day wasn't as bad as we though . we got comments from conductor and alumni that we played quite well . we learnt alot too . especially during consultation with Mr. Tan

music exchange at deyi on the last day was great
there were 8 bands performing there. i CONFIDENTLY told kenneth, who kept saying our band sucks and we will never come back a good result, that if we were that bad, what about some of the bands we heard that day.
he smiled and said nothing. he should be agreeing and has nothing to say. haha
mr chia also said we are so near to gold, its just that we don't realise it . frankly speaking, i dont even think we can secure even silver. but mr chia said we are alr on silver standard .
alumnis and conductors said we stand second out of all the bands there. :B im so proud
man, was yu ying band amazing !
my chia asked what i thought of yu ying band. i said they were very grand and their dynamics and music playing and phrasing and everything are very good.
he smiled and said, actually, u guys can do it too.

one moment, the conductors and instructors tell us we're still COP ( certificate of participation) and the next ( before the exchange ), we're of silver standard touching gold . it felt very very good .
overall, the camp was great .
i didnt want it to end to soon. hakim agreed when i asked why cant we just have the camp straight all the way to syf. its dumb, but we really want it.
sitting under the stars at the concourse at about 10.30 pm was great. sat with zany and deon. well, deon , not really. he was busy looking for shaffiqa haha
sitting alone and lying down, looking at the stars with zany or should i say, beneath the milky twilight with zany felt, comfortable soothing nice romantic? haha !
im glad i made the decision not to do/say something that might bring negative outcomes. dont ask . heh
it ended too soon.

mr tan let me sneak out that night and so i did, with deon. i tried to wake zany up to look at the stars again but as i shook her, she only opened her eyes and shut them back and went back to sleep. i even shone my phone light to her face, shaking her arm. she opened up again, squinting her eyes because of the bright light and shut them back, again.
i whispered to her " eh u want go out not? or u want to sleep ?"
no reply.
and so i said " nevermind lah. get some sleep. see you tomorrow, good night " as i went back to sleep with deon, sadly haha!
i asked her the next day why she didnt reply me and such and she claimed to not remember ANYTHING about it . hahah! cute or what!
i LOVE IT when mr chia takes us for combine. MR CHIA- our santa claus. brings us laughter and happiness and joy
he's also the main reason why we've improved so much.
JVCB loves him JVCB wants him to be our main conductor. or MRS CHIA is as fine.
the couple is so so worried and concerned for us. mr chia think for days to answer our qns, like how i should play my solo and how loud the eupho should play when we asked him.
he always gives us a confident answer and leaves us confident. he doesnt leave out any parts - be it small or big
i believe we owe it ALL to the respected Chia-s if we come back with a good result.
noone else but them mainly .
they should take over our band. besides, they were the ones who opened our band in 1994 anyways .
AGAIN, I LOVE JVCB! LET'S WORK TOWARDS OUR GOAL! OUR BAND VISSION!

band practise yesterday was different
not the people, not the mood, not the discipline .
but for the first time, a very big difference
in our playing .
the good-difference
we finally had hope of touching at least silver.
maintain that way of music playing, work on dynamics and emotions, i think we can even get abit close to gold .
i swear the start of overture number 1 (set piece) FINALLY sounded grand and like a fanfare it's supposed to be
and the woodwinds, i can hear them better at letter A ( woodwinds ensemble part )
and also for the first time, after finishing that song, mrs chee applaud and said aloud,
BRAVO THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL
okay, frankly speaking, halfway through the song, i teared while playing. it was different. it was music made by jvcb which i never heard before. those were tears of joy. i was elated .
asyiqin teared too.
really, it was a touching moment .
everyone was noisy with excitement after gg through the whole song, applauding and wearing smiles SO BIG and genuine
we kept on cheering and also shouted out the " 3 cheers and 3 cheers and 3 cheers for jvcb " thingy
we finally had ALOT of hope, the determination to work towards our band vision .
TO BE THE BEST SOUNDING BAND IN THIS REGION
which is like kinda impossiblecause all the bands in our region are very good.
we have YUHUA ( the sustaining GOLD band) hua yi fu hua
all these are good
but still, we really got to work hard.
outdoor combined practise really did work. we were all surprised at the effects it brought, even mrs chee .
JVCB-IANS! CONTINUE STRIVING HARD FOR SYF! YOU KNOW WE CAN DO IT!

okay so tomorrow's monday.
and im having another syf camp! the previous one was just a week ago
camps are tiring but i love it somehow i get to sleep with friends and chill out with them for ours at a time
ill be away for 3 days this time dont miss me too much (:
we'll be seeing alot of deyi band and boonlay band in this camp in fact, everyday
its such a waste i cant be there on the first day stupid AEM 9am-5pm how stupid can it get
the first thing i get to do when i come to school after AEM is dinner
pathethic. dont even get to play or hear music the whole day.
and deyi and boon lay percussionists ! i cant wait to meet them and i cant on the very first day. ugh
oh gosh! their timpani players are gonna touch my timpani! WITHOUT my permission !!

im alone at home with my maternal grandmum
wonder why im still using the computer despite it being AFTER 10 ?

everyone else is over at my aunt's . all my cousins and aunties and everyone lah basically in my family (father side) . they're preparing for my cousins wedding tomorrow and on sunday .
damn, i wanna be there .
but its so late now.
its easy for my whole family (referring to the one that i stay with, the small one) to get there.
my sister has got her motor licence she has alr reached, dk from where. she also fetched my mum from work and brought her along to my aunt's.
i still think its wierd imagining my sister 'motor-cycling' . and know what?
tmr im gg over to my aunt's at bukit batok via what? HER! my mum asked her to send me over ! gosh im scared.
will i get hospitalised? will i be in the news? then will i be able to participate in SYF? will they get a replacement for timpani?
oh gosh.
or should i make my own way there? you know, public transports are more environmental friendly right ?
haha im so mean.

- i was out of tune at certain parts
- i didnt really know how to really project my voice instead of keeping it in
- my voice sounded like cartoons ( so small and high )
- lonely september sucked more
- eugene watched the video recorded on gwen's phone halfway & didnt want to listen any more DX

Friday
had lunch in the canteen with clique except zeke, who's always MIA .
It was a ' TOMYAM-TRAGEDY DAY ' they said .
first, zavier accidentally spilled tomyam soup, while carrying it over to the table, on fiona.
then, when deon was trying to tear apart his chicken wing with his fork and spoon, it fell back into the bowl and the soup splashed into poor gwen's eyes. she was groaning aloud! crying at that!
went home to prepare for BAND SYF CAMP that very afternoon.

overall , it was tiring, so much.
not physically tired, but the sleepy kind.
well what do you expect from hours of music making ? and uncomfortable sleeping situation, having to shiver throughout the night !
damn was it cold. even colder than in HONGKONG! i mean, really .
but it was all worth it. we're aiming to AT LEAST get a silver and i feel that we're just barely touching it for now sighhhh
SATURDAY NIGHT-9PM break camp
and oh oh there's going to be another band camp pretty soon. during the march holidays, which is like two weeks from now.
it's a MUSIC-EXCHANGE camp i guess? yay i cant wait.

headed to FLORAVALE (condo behind Gek Poh) for colleen's birthday party. oh, it was xun que's birthday too .
yeah it was fun, even though i had to go home earlier ( as usual ) i went off at 8pm while the party was at its best . it was games . the ICE CREAM CAKE hasn't even arrived ):
i went out alone, yeah i was sad. expected someone to follow, but sigh ..
james wakit and teng ooi also decided to go home. im grateful for OLD MAN'S (wai kit) company on the way home. he even agreed to accompany to 7-11 to get my ex-link card topped up.
